A message of support from Taylor Randall after tragic campus loss
Dear David Eccles School of Business Community,
By now I’m sure you have seen the communications from the Campus Alert system and President Watkins regarding the tragic events that occurred yesterday evening that resulted in the senseless death of student Lauren McCluskey. I want to echo President Watkin’s support for our community and to let you know that we at the Eccles School are here for you during this difficult time.
While classes are cancelled today, please know that campus resources are open and here for you now and in the future:
- For Students: University Counseling Center
- For Faculty and Staff: Employee Assistance Program
- Safety Escorts (for all campus community members): 801-585-COPS (801-585-2677)
A vigil for Lauren will be held on the steps of the Park Building Wednesday, Oct. 24 at 5 p.m.
If there is anything I or anyone in the Eccles School can do for you, please don’t hesitate to ask. My thoughts and best wishes are with you all.
Best,
Taylor
