In honor of tax season and the start of the new semester, take advantage of the free resources that the U has to offer when it comes to financial wellness.

Scholarships

The University of Utah provides departmental, university-wide, and private scholarships. The application for 2024-25 Eccles scholarships is open until March 18. Find more information and apply here. The general application requires a personal statement, resume, and optional letter of recommendation. For the University-wide scholarships, check their website to find which ones you qualify for and how to apply.

Financial Wellness and Tax Support

Located in the Student Union, the Financial Wellness Center is a wonderful free resource on campus that provides financial literacy on topics including filing for taxes, budgeting, student loans, and 401Ks. You can make an appointment to talk to a graduate mentor or a peer mentor virtually or in person. You can also watch pre-recorded lessons on their websites here. They also currently offer free tax filing and assistance.

Business Career Success

Business Career Success is a great resource when looking for a paid internship that aligns with your career goals and school schedule. Schedule an appointment with your Business Career Coach here and take advantage of other resources offered in BCS by getting a headshot or finding clothes for an interview at the Career Closet.
