Opportunity Scholars Mentoring program connects students with industry professionals
When the Opportunity Scholars program first began at the David Eccles School of Business, there were between 10 and 20 students participating in the original cohort. Now in its 27th year of operation, Opportunity Scholars is a tight-knit community of more than 130 first-generation college students. David Eccles Week: Hope Notes Service Project
Within Business Student Government (BSG), our mission is to encourage students to actively be engaged during their time at the David Eccles School of Business. Not only to strengthen their sense of belonging, but also to provide opportunities to make a meaningful impact in their communities. For September’s service project, Business Student Government organized an event for students called “Hope Notes.” During Hope Notes, students gathered to write around 200 uplifting letters for peers in need of encouragement and support.
