As the month of November has come to be associated with the theme of “thankfulness,” it is a naturally opportune time for the Opportunity Scholars program within the David Eccles School of Business to host its annual Gratitude Luncheon. The event is an opportunity for first-generation business students to gather alongside program directors and connect with donors who are vital to their continuing education. In order to introduce himself to the local business community en masse, new David Eccles School of Business Dean Kurt Dirks sat down with Utah Business editor-in-chief Melanie Jones for a Q&A session. Eccles School personalities play a prominent role in a BYUtv feature
While this year’s “Holy War” football game between the University of Utah and Brigham Young University provoked the usual passionate response from both sides (and perhaps a bit more, given the controversial conclusion), a BYUtv crew took it as an opportunity to move away from the vitriol and the rhetoric.
