During times of lackluster snowfall, ski resorts can suffer without the help of artificially made snow. For slope enthusiasts, this man-made snow seems to resemble freezing drizzle rather than real snow, causing the still-liquid particles to freeze to goggles and create a worse experience for skiers and snowboarders.

“Our thought was: Why not make a man-made snow that is the same as the powder that falls from the sky?” says atmospheric science student, Peter Veals.
