Xiaoxia (Sasha) Peng earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Science and Technology of China and her Master’s degree from the University of Minnesota. After receiving her Ph.D. in Accounting from the University of Minnesota, she joined the faculty at the University of Utah in 2013. Dr. Peng’s research focuses on the use of accounting performance measures in executive compensation contracts and implications of executive compensation schemes on corporate decision-makings. Her current research work examines effects of acquirer and target CEO compensation structures on decisions made in and performances of mergers and acquisitions (M&As). She also studies how accounting conservatism affects the executive compensation design. Dr. Peng teaches Principles of Accounting at the University of Utah.
