Jess is the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Programs. She has been working in undergraduate programs at the University of Utah since 2002. She earned M.A. and M.Phil degrees from the Department of Political Science at the U, and a B.A. in History and Environmental Studies from Bowdoin College. She served as an academic adviser in political science and the Eccles School for over ten years, and previously served as Director of Undergraduate Advising Services from 2013-2015, Director of Undergraduate Programs from 2015-2022, and Assistant Dean for Undergraduate Academic Affairs from 2022-2023. In her current role as Associate Dean, Jess is involved in all aspects of the undergraduate program. In partnership with the Assistant Dean for Undergraduate Program, she oversees admissions, curriculum (in partnership with academic departments and faculty), student engagement programs, the Business Scholars Experience, Eccles Global, and cohort programs. Jess and her husband moved to Utah from the east coast in 2002 and have been in love with the mountains and desert ever since.
