Felipe is originally from Mexico City, Mexico, but has lived in Utah since the age of three. They earned their Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies (2020) from Utah’s land-grant institution, Utah State University.

Their professional career in higher education began in the financial aid field, starting at Weber State University and then transitioning to Utah State University. After about four years of working in the enrollment management aspect of higher education, they decided to transition toward the student services side, specifically academic advising, to garner a holistic understanding of resources available to students that impact their success, and by extent, influence the performance of a post-secondary institution.

Felipe plans to expand their education and knowledge in the future, but in the meantime enjoy their time by simply being present.
