Master of Science in Financial Technology

The Master of Science in Financial Technology (MSFT) at the David Eccles School of Business prepares students to lead at the intersection of finance, data, and intelligent systems. This 30 credit, cohort-based program equips students with financial insight, technical fluency, regulatory awareness, and hands-on experience across payments, digital lending, AI in finance, cybersecurity, algorithmic trading, and blockchain-enabled markets.

Students benefit from Utah’s rapidly expanding FinTech ecosystem—home to 67 FinTech firms, nearly 8,000 jobs, and strong employer demand. Through applied projects, interdisciplinary coursework, and a FinTech capstone, graduates develop the strategic and technical skills required to innovate within both established financial institutions and high-growth FinTech companies
