The annual 1917-minute challenge kicks off this week
The annual 1917-Minute Challenge will officially kick-off tomorrow! This year, Dean Taylor Randall is calling on alumni, donors, staff, faculty, and students to make scholarships our top priority. Starting Nov. 14 at noon, we have 1,917 minutes to reach 750 donors all committed to giving back to their alma mater and changing the lives of students at the David Eccles School of Business.
Make a Gift
Big or small, every gift counts. With the lowest alumni giving participation rate in the entire Pac-12, we have plenty of room for improvement! Over the next 5 years we will be working to increase the participation rate to 10% and that begins with you today. Last year, we awarded over $4 million in scholarships to students and aim to increase that by $1.5 million dollars each year with your help.
This is a participation-based challenge and is meant to encourage more donors to give, rather than focusing on the amount given. To help motivate us to our goal of 750 donors we have the opportunity to unlock 3 challenge grants throughout the campaign. When we reach 250 donors, $25,000 will be added to the campaign from Mike and Teena James. At the 500 donor mark, we will unlock an additional $50,000 from Professor Bob Allen and David Stirling. Finally, when we reach our final goal of 750 donors, $75,000 will be unlocked thanks to generous donations from anonymous supporters.

We hope that you will join us in reaching a record breaking 750 donors during this year’s campaign to surpass our 639 donors last year. Donations of all amounts are welcome and will support the school’s greatest need of increasing scholarships for our amazing students.
