Four resources to help you ace your exams
Exams can be stressful, especially if you are struggling with some of the concepts from your classes. Fortunately, there are several resources on campus to help you be successful.
1) Business Tutoring Center
Your Eccles Experience includes free tutoring through the Business Tutoring Center. Located on the first floor of the SFEBB, in rooms 1173 and 1175, they offer virtual and in-person tutoring. You do need to make an appointment. Visit Eccles.link/tutoring to see schedules and courses.
2) Math Center
Need help with algebra, trigonometry, and calculus? The Math Center is located in the T. Benny Rushing Mathematics Student Center in room 155C. In-person tutoring hours are Monday – Thursday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Fridays, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. For online tutoring, hours vary depending on the tutor. Although you can drop in, it’s best to make an appointment. Find their full schedule here.
3) University Writing Center
The University Writing Center is located on the second floor of the Marriott Library in room 2701. Peer tutors are available for individual consultations and can help with papers from all disciplines. In-person tutoring is available Monday – Thursday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Fridays, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Prefer an online option? They also have virtual hours Monday – Saturday. Find more info at writingcenter.utah.edu.
4) Study Rooms
Need a quiet place to study? Or want to host a study group? Several study rooms are available for free in the SFEBB. Visit the front desk or text 801-581-7676 to book your spot. Lassonde Studios also has several spaces, and of course, the Marriott Library is always available for a quiet place to think.
