First Ascent Scholars travel to London

During the first week of summer vacation, the First Ascent Scholars freshman cohort had the opportunity to travel to London. During their time in London, they were able to visit two companies: Instructure and Center Bridge. Along with visiting companies, the scholars enjoyed some of the common sights such as the London Eye, The British Library, The British Museum, Windsor Castle, and Parliament.

The scholars even explored Stonehenge, which became one of their favorite sightseeing spots. All were in awe at the prehistoric monument and had many wondering how the monument was built and why.

Besides enjoying some amazing London sights, the scholars were able to step out of their comfort zone and explore some local food and popular city spots. One of the highlights of the trip was having High Tea on a tourist bus. The bus ride ended on a birthday celebration for one of First Ascent’s beloved mentors, Donaree Neville. The scholars continued to keep the spirits up in the bus with a sing-along to different songs for all to enjoy.

This year’s London trip was one for the books!
