Alumni Spotlight: Zack Clark of Five Degrees Consulting
Editor’s Note: This is an installment in the series called Young Alumni. The series spotlights recently graduated alumni who are starting careers and succeeding in the business world.
Zack Clark owns his own company called Five Degrees Consulting in Salt Lake City, Utah. Zack’s company focuses on helping companies with business operations, leaders and organization to help companies succeed within the business world. Zack obtained his undergrad in Management (BS) and, soon after, his PMBA.
Eccles School: How did you end up choosing a business degree?
Clark: I always knew I wanted to do business. I had a passion for leadership and how people created business.
Eccles School: Who inspires you?
Clark: Today, my kids are the ones who inspire me. They push me to be present at work and home to maximize every opportunity to grow and lead.
Eccles School: How do you keep so focused and goal-oriented?
Clark: Create a plan and keep it organized. I always want to deliver great results and manage my goals with hard work and determination.
Eccles School: Any advice for future students?
Clark: Work hard, play hard. Learn with any experience, involve yourself, and always network. When you are young, you need to be open to new opportunities and find a way to apply your learning.
Eccles School: What clubs or organizations are you apart of at the Eccles School?
Clark: I have mentored teams for the Entrepreneurship club, SMART Start, Business Alumni, and Connect U mentorship program.
