Kim Mains is a technology strategy and operations executive with over 20 years of experience shaping product innovation, technology strategy, and large-scale operational transformation.

As the leader of Content Strategy for Meta’s Reality Labs Metaverse and AR/MR division, Kim drives the strategic vision and execution of immersive experiences within one of the world’s most forward-thinking technological ecosystems.

Prior to her current role, Kim led Strategy and Operations for Reality Labs and served as Chief of Staff to Meta’s Chief Technology Officer. She also played a pivotal role in scaling Meta’s global privacy efforts, creating and operationalizing Meta’s Global Privacy Program from the ground up.

Kim’s career spans leadership positions across multiple high-growth technology organizations, including Vivint Smart Home, where she served as Vice President of Enterprise Product Experience and Operations. In this capacity, she led the development of proprietary enterprise technology and spearheaded site reliability engineering at scale. At Adobe, Kim was instrumental in Adobe’s successful transformation to a cloud-based business model, where she led technology M&A integrations, oversaw product operations, and established company-wide product prioritization.

A pioneer in design thinking and customer-centric innovation, Kim is renowned for creating and scaling highly effective product and design processes. At Adobe, she established the Adobe HIVE & Lab 82, a cutting-edge innovation lab focused on addressing complex customer challenges through collaborative design thinking. Later, at Vivint, Kim introduced Customer Obsession, a program that empowered all employees to engage with customers directly, learn problem-solving first-hand, and drive product improvements rooted in customer insights.

Kim is also a passionate advocate for women in technology and actively mentors the next generation of female leaders through initiatives like Women in Tech. In addition, Kim has a deep commitment to youth development through sports. She spent 15 years as an NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball referee, culminating in officiating a National Championship Game.

Kim holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Washington State University and an Executive MBA from the University of Utah’s Eccles School of Business. She was named to Utah Business’s 2020 40 Under 40 list, served on the Salt Lake City Human Rights Commission from 2018-2021, and remains deeply committed to advancing innovation, equity, and mentorship. Kim lives in California with her wife and two children.
