Alum from Day One

Did you know that the David Eccles School of Business considers students a part of the alumni network from the first day they start college? This is what we mean when we refer to our “Alum From Day One” mentality. As such, there are many ways for students to get involved including networking opportunities, career development, events and experiences connecting students and alumni, and more.

We hope you take advantage of all of the opportunities the David Eccles School of Business Alumni Network and the Alumni Relations and Development Office can offer you while still in college!

The Alumni Relations and Development Office sponsors the Eccles Student Alumni Board. As a board, they look to amplify awareness throughout the Eccles community regarding the importance of giving and involvement as both a student as well as an alum. The Eccles Student Alumni Board aims to empower Eccles students by directing programs, events, and resources including but not limited to the annual 1917-Minute Challenge, U Giving Day, donor thank-you call campaigns, and various student-alumni networking events. Eccles Student Alumni Board members receive a $250 per semester scholarship and a philanthropy cord at graduation.

Eccles Alumni Forum Speaker Series

Each month during the semester, alumni from various professions and industries will speak on panels to share their experiences and insights and answer questions. These events are generously sponsored by O.C. Tanner and run by the David Eccles Alumni Network.

All students are strongly encouraged to attend forums even if they’re outside of your major. It is a great way to learn great industry and career knowledge, both in and out of your field, from esteemed alumni professionals!
