Kassidy Hoopes was born in Missouri and grew up in Northern Utah (Weber and Davis County). She earned her bachelor’s degree in Health & Kinesiology and her Secondary Teaching License through the University of Utah’s Urban Institute for Teachers. During her undergraduate studies, she worked as a cardiology technician at University Hospital and volunteered in middle and high schools across the valley, supporting students in SPED and ELL programs.

Before joining the Eccles School, Kassidy gained experience as an athletics coach in volleyball and gymnastics—roles that sparked her love for teaching and student mentorship. She officially joined the Undergraduate Advising Services team in September 2026 and is excited to continue supporting students as they explore their academic and professional goals. Kassidy enjoys helping students discover how their unique strengths and interests can shape their success both on campus and beyond. As a first-generation and non-traditional student herself, she is passionate about using her experiences to connect with and support students from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences.

Outside of work, Kassidy enjoys staying active through indoor and beach volleyball, hitting the gym, and playing basketball. She’s also an avid sports fan—cheering for the Jazz, Steelers, and, of course, the Utes!
