Jake grew up in American Fork, Utah, and now lives in Salt Lake City. He attended Utah Valley University (Go Wolverines!) where he received his BS in Public Relations and Strategic Communication. During his time at UVU he worked as a Student Mentor, a Marketing Coordinator for UVU Recreation and Wellness, and a Social Impact Fellow. In these roles, he mentored students, taught about student success, health, and wellness, and helped educate others about important issues taking place in society.

Through his campus involvement, Jake discovered his passion for higher education and for helping students achieve their goals. His goal is to ensure that all students feel safe, heard, and supported while making the most of their college experience.

In his free time, Jake enjoys spending time with friends and family, visiting the park, exploring Salt Lake City coffee shops, reading a good book, and listening to music and podcasts.
