First Ascent Scholars Family BBQ brings the community together

The First Ascent community came together last week for its annual Family BBQ, a tradition that marks the start of the academic year with food, fun, and connection. Students, families, mentors, and staff enjoyed an afternoon of conversation and yard games, while program leaders shared remarks to help set the tone for the months ahead. David Eccles School of Business unveils new statue honoring its namesake

A new statue of David Eccles, namesake of the David Eccles School of Business, will now greet students and visitors outside the Spencer Fox Eccles Business Building. The statue was unveiled on September 4, 2025 by descendants of David Eccles, including his grandson, Spencer Fox Eccles, and great-grandchildren Katie Eccles, Lisa Eccles, Hope Eccles, and Spencer P. Eccles.
