Editor’s note: Students in the MRED Program are traveling around the world – literally! Seven graduate students had the opportunity to travel west as part of an immersive study abroad class in summer 2016. Here is a post from Michelle Doong, one of the students on the journey.

Today was probably our least favorite morning as we had to head to the airport around 5 a.m. I’m not sure why Worldstrides thought it was a good idea to book an early flight like this.

As we arrived in London, we were greeted by three Worldstride staff members at the airport. We took the tube to our hotel and checked in and freshened up before our cultural tours.

During our tour, we we’re able to check out the Tower of London, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey and a few other tourist sites on the double decker buses.

We ended the night with dinner in Piccadilly Circus and called it an early night.
