An initial public offering isn’t quite the pot of gold for companies it used to be, according to Assistant Professor of Finance Mark Jansen. He was recently interviewed by the Deseret News for a story on the possibility of an IPO by tech company InsideSales.

“There have been regulatory changes that have occurred over the last few years that have allowed companies to raise more capital,” Jansen said. “One of the things it does is allows you to run a lot longer before a public offering.”
