In the fall of 2023, Prosperity U continued to evolve, offering a rich and multifaceted student experience.
Welcome Panel for Prosperity U
The academic year began with an engaging opening event, combining a socialgathering and a panel discussion on global opportunities for prosperity. Distinguished panel members, including Gladys Ashitey, MD, former Member of the Fourth Parliament of the Fourth Republic of Ghana; Keith Diaz Moore, PhD, AIA, Associate Vice-Provost for Institutional Design and Strategy; and Stephen Alder, PhD, MBA, Executive Director of the Center for Business, Health, andProsperity, set the tone for the upcoming semester. The event, which doubled as a welcome for new students, provided valuable insights for students to contemplate as they embarked on their journey toward making a positive impact and fostering prosperity.
Panel members offered students engaging and inspiring words to get involved with the prosperity project. Diaz Moore encouraged students to, “Be willing to challenge the systems that are not achieving the goals you want.” Dr. Alder gave advice to students that what they do matters. “You are all part of the solution. You have the capacity to do good for the world. Your individual contribution can make an impact.” Ashitey closed with remarks letting students know they can make an impact, “You are the future leaders. Reach out beyond your borders and use whatever you have to make an impact.” The panel generated excitement for what is to come from Prosperity U.
