Pathfinders Program

Fridays, 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. (Detailed schedule released end of summer)

Pathfinders offers sophomore students a premier opportunity to engage in a transformative leadership experience, emphasizing goal setting, fostering strong peer connections and mentorship, and providing an impactful addition to their resumes.

Throughout the program, participants will develop their leadership skills by setting and achieving personalized goals. By the end of the academic year, they will be prepared to pursue additional campus and off-campus leadership opportunities, with greater confidence in their abilities and a deeper connection to their community. Pathfinders runs for the entire academic year of 2024-2025.

Fall Semester

In the fall, Pathfinders will convene weekly or bi-weekly on Fridays from 1:00 – 2:30 P.M. These sessions will include gatherings in Homeroom with the full cohort, Clusters, or Path Pals.

Spring Semester

In the spring, Pathfinders are encouraged to take on new leadership roles across campus (e.g., student organizations, TA positions, internships, jobs). They will continue to meet periodically with a mentor to stay on track and adjust their goals.

Pathfinder’s 2024-2025 applications are now closed.

The next application cycle will be in spring 2025

Alyssha expressed the importance of welcoming pivots in life and listening to the needs of your community to make the biggest impact. This approach led her from a career in sports medicine to empowering and creating community for Black girls in Utah. “I love having opportunities to speak within academic spaces.
