The Inclusion & Business Strategy Case Competition rounded out Eccles Inclusion Week on Feb. 5. Dozens of students competed in teams to solve a variety of real, complex business challenges. The case competition, sponsored by Dominion Energy, Wild Utah Project, the Goff Strategic Leadership Center, and the David Eccles School of Business Office for Student Inclusion, demonstrated the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion when it comes to strategic, organizational success.
Student teams suggested creative partnerships with organizations such as Hale Theater, Boy Scouts of America, and the Utah Pride Center. The teams used creative and unique marketing techniques that would appeal to a wide range of consumers, coming up with projects such as rainbow-colored butterflies for WUP’s “Pollinator Pursuer” project. These projects represented solutions that would positively impact diversity, equity, and inclusion while also supporting large-scope projects that would influence wildlife and land conservation worldwide.
