If you look towards the east of Lassonde Studios, you will see a large hole in the ground, fencing surrounding the site, and a crane. This is the sign that construction is underway on the Impact and Prosperity Epicenter. The team from Okland Construction is making progress with getting the foundations and ground floor walls in place even with the snow that continues to blanket the campus.

Professor Stephen C. Alder, Executive Director of the Center for Business, Health, and Prosperity, notes, “You can see where the building will be now. You can’t miss the crane on campus.” Alder goes on to say, “ It is exciting to see it coming together so beautifully in helping to lead the University of Utah into the future with an emphasis on how we are enhancing student lives, building knowledge, and helping community partners to become more prosperous. “

The building is slated to open in fall of 2024 with a completion date for the residence section of the building in late June 2024. The building will also be home to the Center for Business, Health, and Prosperity and Sorenson Impact Center.
