Join us for a 4-week immersive experience at Ensign Global College in Kpong, Ghana and the University of Oxford, England through BUS-3800, Business Development in Emerging Markets.

In Ghana you will spend 3 weeks learning the latest in health and development and work hands-on with communities and local industries. Then jump over to the University Oxford to absorb its history and current aims to amplify the growth of global markets.

Students are responsible for a current passport and necessary immunizations.*

Students are are also responsible for to provide proof of all immunizations required for entry to Ghana. Visit the University of Utah’s Travel Clinic to find out what shots are needed and obtain all necessary immunizations.

Explore Ghana and Oxford, England from June 10- July 5, 2024, through BUS 3800, Business Development in Emerging Markets. In Ghana you will spend 3 weeks learning the latest in health and development and work hands-on with communities and local industries. Then jump over to the University Oxford to absorb its history and current aims to amplify the growth of global markets. Plus, University of Utah students fulfill an International Requirement (IR).

This program coordinated by the Center for Business, Health, and Prosperity.

Program Fee

$5,950

Scholarships are available through the Prosperity U Student Experience. Email bhp@utah.edu to learn more and get involved with Prosperity Scholars. The program has limited enrollment. Fee includes tuition for three credit hours, housing, in-country transportation, most meals, excursions and travel insurance.

Projects

Group projects will provide an ecological analysis and strategic recommendation for Ensign Global Campus. Some past projects have included ​Health 2 Go franchising, developing core values and a mission statement for the Institute, and providing recommendations to improve the Kpong Health Center. ​

Students take on leadership roles as they complete their projects and practice presenting in front of their classmates and experts in the fields of health and development.
