The University of Utah is a military-friendly school and Yellow Ribbon Program participant. The University of Utah has an agreement with the VA to cover any tuition and fee charges that are not covered by the Post 9/11 GI Bill. The University pays 50% of any unmet charges, and the VA matches and covers the other 50%. Students who wish to apply for this must qualify for the Post 9/11 GI Bill at the 100% rate.

Additional information about military funding can be found through the Veteran’s Center.

The University of Utah is a partner of Military MBA, which offers a variety of scholarships.

Why Military Members Make Successful MBAs

  1. Level of responsibility. Early in their careers, military officers assume responsibility for substantial budgets, costly equipment, and mission-critical performance from their units.
  2. Unparalleled leadership experience. Military officers live a life of leadership with a highly developed sense of ethics. They develop teams and work with large groups of diverse people to accomplish organizational goals, focusing on decisiveness and succinct communication.
  3. Acquired skills. Military members bring project management know-how, unparalleled ability to overcome challenges, well-honed organizational and time management skills, and more.
