Meet a MAcc Graduate
As a prospective MAcc student, you probably have a lot of questions about the program: How do I know if the program is right for me? What types of careers will a MAcc prepare me for? What are the networking opportunities? What is student life like?
One of the best ways to answer your questions is through one-on-one consultations with one of our student ambassadors. As recent and upcoming graduates, our ambassadors can give you an up-close look at what you can expect from the program and how it can help you meet your goals and expectations. If you have questions about the admissions or application process, make sure to meet with admissions.
Kya Kraus
MAcc, Tax Track, May 2021
I started my education in public health and I have a Master of Public Health degree from USC, but I became interested in accounting after working as a part-time bookkeeper for a few years. I completed the MAcc Intensive program at the U during the summer of 2020 and graduated from the Master’s program in May of 2021. I completed the tax track, and I work for a regional accounting firm in SLC as a Tax Associate. My husband and I have three little girls and we enjoy camping, hiking, and traveling.

MAcc, Audit Track, December 2021
I graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Accounting. During my education, I worked as the Director of Finance for ASUU and have held internships in public and industry accounting. I am now an Audit Associate at the KPMG in Salt Lake City. I look forward to helping in any way I can!
