Empowering Changemakers for Today and Tomorrow
This fall, Prosperity U delivered transformative opportunities for University of Utah students, inspiring them to grow, connect, and take action as changemakers.
The semester kicked off with Changemaker Connect, a dynamic event where collaboration and creativity flourished. Students worked in teams to build 3D models of their vision for prosperity, showcasing ideas ranging from modern skyscrapers to innovative transportation systems and global-inspired buildings. This was a powerful display of the problem-solving skills and creativity that will propel them in their future careers.
Throughout the semester, Prosperity U offered students access to global leaders and experts with the Prosperity U Speaker Series. Eboo Patel underscored the power of unity in a diverse world, while CNN Hero Osei Boateng shared how he’s revolutionizing healthcare in Ghana. Local leaders, including Professor Stephen Alder, Dr. Michael Good, and Dr. Raymond Price, emphasized how prosperity is being driven right here in Utah—giving students both global and local perspectives on making meaningful change.
Students didn’t just learn—they engaged. Partnering with the Goff Strategic Leadership Center, we hosted a case-buster event featuring Health 2 Go, where students tackled real-world challenges. During International Education Week, we showcased the work of students who participated in Prosperity U Global Experiences, highlighting how these hands-on opportunities expand horizons and equip students with valuable skills for their academic and professional journeys.
To balance their hard work, students connected and recharged at events like the Boo Bash Pumpkin Carving Contest, Epicenter Concert Series, and spirited football watch parties. These moments built a strong sense of community, reminding students that growth and connection go hand in hand.
This fall laid the foundation for what’s to come. In Spring 2025, Prosperity U will offer even more opportunities for students to discover their passions, develop essential skills, and connect with like-minded peers and mentors. Whether through global experiences, leadership events, or collaborative projects, we are committed to preparing students to thrive—both during their time at the U and long after.
Thank you to our partners and supporters for making this semester successful. Together, we are shaping the next generation of changemakers.
