We are so excited to welcome U back to the Eccles School! We hope that your first week of Spring Semester classes went well, we can’t wait to see what the semester holds. As we welcome you back, we would like to wish you a very successful semester full of learning, opportunities and growth!

With the new semester, there will be lots of opportunities and questions that you may have. Please remember all of the amazing resources that you have right here, at the Eccles School:

  • Business Career Services. Here you can meet with your career coach, get insight into internship & job opportunities, get a professional headshot, or even practice for an upcoming interview. You can schedule a meeting with a career coach online or in person in the Garff building, located across SFEBB.
  • Business Tutoring Center. The business tutoring center is located in rooms 1173 and 1175 on the first floor of SFEBB, next to the undergraduate lounge. The business tutoring center supports students’ success at the Eccles school, in an inclusive learning environment. Please note that the tutoring center does not have tutoring available for every course here at the Eccles school but if you have questions or concerns, please reach out to tutoring@eccles.utah.edu. This is a free resource that is available to all undergraduate students!
  • Office for Student Inclusion (OSI). The OSI office provides an inclusive environment to help students feel valued and understood. The office is located at 3120 in the SFEBB; you can use the space to study, hang out with friends or take some time for yourself in the reflection room.
  • Undergraduate Advising Services (UAS). UAS provides students the ability to meet with their academic advisor which allows students to explore opportunities and meet their needs. From the milestone advising program all the way down to peer drop-in advisor appointments, UAS has all of your needs!
  • Eccles Global. If you are looking to study abroad and gain valuable real world experience, look no further. Eccles Global has many different programs that are taught by some of the top-ranked faculty of the Eccles School. You can spend one week or even a full semester studying business from an international lens. Students also participate in weekend excursions to fully immerse themselves in the culture. If you are able, don’t miss this opportunity to make lifelong friends while also gaining valuable industry experience!
  • University Counseling Center. The counseling center is committed to supporting mental health needs of our campus staff, students and faculty. Here, you can find multiple resources such as individual, group, and couples counseling, skills workshops, along with many other services. You can call the counseling center at 801-581-6826 to make an appointment.
    International Student & Scholar Services (ISSS): The ISSS is the U’s primary contact for international students, scholars, and alumni. The office encompasses and nurtures a global campus community which is a part of the U’s vision of embracing students worldwide. Please don’t hesitate to reach out.

These are just some of the student resources we have here at the Eccles School. If you are looking for more clubs to get involved in, you can find a list here. There are many different clubs you could join, the opportunities within them are endless.

We will also be hosting Bites with BLinc many times throughout the semester. The next one will be held on Jan. 23 in the SFEBB lobby from 3:30-5:30 p.m. Please come out, take a break, and grab a quick bite before heading to your next class or study session! Coming up, BLinc will be hosting Spring Into Business Tuesday, Jan. 17, from 4 – 7 p.m. in the SFEBB lobby. Spring into Business will have more than 40 different clubs from around the David Eccles School of Business. Come out and enjoy some food, hang out with friends and learn more about what the Eccles school has to offer! We can’t wait to see U there!
