The National Quality Forum and Joint Commission celebrated the 2018 John M. Eisenberg Award winners in Washington, DC. Dr. Brent James, MHA faculty member, received the Individual Achievement Award for his passion as a global leader in bringing quality improvement science and methods to clinical care for more than three decades. In accepting the award, Dr. James noted, “There is real opportunity to do better [as we continue to] count our successes in lives saved and harm avoided.” He was joined by his wife, Eve, and daughters, Sarah and Rebecca, as he received this important recognition for his legacy in quality and safety.
