The MHA program would like to introduce Dr. Lynd Bacon as he joins the program as an adjunct associate professor. Professor Bacon will instruct our students in healthcare analytics as a special topics course. We look forward to all that he will be providing to our students.

Dr. Lynd Bacon has worked in academia, in clinical settings, and in industry.  He has taught at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, the University of Illinois at Chicago, the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Northwestern University, the University of Notre Dame, and Rush University. He is trained in the basic and social sciences, and in neuroscience.  His roles in the private sector have included being the founder of two technology start-ups, and being on the boards and advisory broads of venture-funded young companies.

Dr. Bacon has held executive positions in national and global marketing intelligence companies.  He was the chief research officer of Knowledge Networks, which is now a subsidiary of GfK of Germany.  He was the associate director of the graduate program in health administration at the University of Chicago, and a medical house staff officer at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Lukes Medical Center, while being on Rush University’s Medical School and Nursing School faculties.

Dr. Bacon is active in several professional organizations and has held national leadership offices by election in the American Marketing Association and the American Statistical Association.
