The 2023-2024 academic year has seen Prosperity U become the signature student experience within the Center for Business, Health, and Prosperity. This year’s iteration of the program has seen significant advancements, fostering a dynamic and multifaceted engagement for students both locally at our Salt Lake City campus and internationally through immersive experiences in Ghana.
Prosperity U has amplified avenues for student connections, through a diverse array of social events. The program has expanded its focus on prosperity science and practical principles, evidenced by an enriched speaker series featuring voices from various disciplines and perspectives. Students have further honed their problem-solving and critical-thinking skills through the Prosperity Paradox Workshop series and our engaging book club led by center Executive Director and global faculty member, Professor Stephen Alder.
In addition to local programs, Prosperity U offered students multiple opportunities to experience prosperity from a global perspective. Courses such as Prosperity Promotion and Entrepreneurship, offered in the spring of 2024, and Business Development in Emerging Markets, offered in the summer 2024, have provided avenues for students to delve into the complexities of global markets and entrepreneurship. Students can also participate in the Prosperity Science Internship for the summer 2024, which offers hands-on experience in researching and implementing prosperity-focused initiatives on a global scale in the ever-developing country of Ghana.
