We will highlight one book per semester with a discussion on the first Friday of every month. We invite all students, faculty, and staff to join us!
The EDI Committee is planning to purchase hard copies of the book that you can reserve. It is also available through the Marriott library. Please click the button below if you would like to join us.

You Are Your Best Thing: Vulnerability, Shame, Resilience, and the Black Experience
Tarana Burke and Brené Brown invited some of the most influential Black writers and cultural figures in the United States to discuss vulnerability, shame resilience, and the Black experience. What emerged is a stunning collection of essays that create a space to recognize and process the trauma of white supremacy, a space to be vulnerable and affirm the fullness of Black life and Black possibility.
