What documents should I mail to you?
The application process is completed entirely online. Please do not mail or email any application materials to our office.
I have submitted my application – when will I receive an admissions decision?
Please refer to the Application Deadlines page for decision notification dates. Generally, applicants hear a decision approximately four weeks after application completion.
How will I be notified of my admissions decision?
Decisions are sent via e-mail.
How do I submit my recommendations?
Recommendations are submitted online. You will be asked to supply the contact information, including e-mail addresses, for your recommenders on the online application. Your recommender will then be sent a link to an online recommendation form. In addition to completing the form, your recommender will have the opportunity to cut and paste or upload a letter of recommendation. All recommendations must be submitted online through this process. Paper recommendations are not accepted.
How will I know when you have received all my application materials?
Once you have submitted your application, you can check the status of your materials in your application portal.
Where do I send my transcripts?
Electronic copies of your unofficial transcripts should be submitted online with your application. We do not require official transcripts at the application stage. Please do not mail hard copies of your transcripts.
How do I know if my recommendations have been submitted?
You may log in to your application portal to check the status of your recommendations, as well as send a reminder to your recommender to complete the online recommendation form. You may also change your recommenders in this section.
Can I have the GMAT/GRE waived?
We will waive the GMAT/GRE requirement for BSMS students, Fast Track applicants, IT Leadership candidates and applicants holding a doctorate-level degree.

How do I know if you have received my GMAT/GRE score?
You will receive an email notification when your official GMAT/GRE score is received and added to your application. You can also check the status in your application portal.
I submitted my test scores but they aren’t showing up yet – what should I do?
Test scores can take up to four weeks to reach us. Please be certain you instruct the test administrator to report your scores to the appropriate code. If four weeks have passed since your test date and your score is not showing as received in your application portal, you may contact our office so we can help locate your score.

What is your GMAT code?
Our GMAT code is K0R-S3-53.
What is your minimum GMAT/GRE score?
The MSF program does not have a minimum GMAT or GRE score requirement. The average GMAT score for admitted applicants is historically 570-590, and the average GRE score for admitted applicants is historically 309-312. A score at or above the average is competitive for the program.

When should I take the GMAT/GRE?
Official test scores can take up to four weeks to reach us. Please take this into account when scheduling your test date, as we cannot issue an admission decision until we have received your official test score. Official test scores should be received no later than the application deadline.
How do I convert my GRE score to a GMAT score?
For applicants who take the GRE, we convert all GRE scores to the GMAT scoring scale in order to maintain consistency when considering applications. You can use this conversion tool from ETS to convert GRE scores to GMAT scores.
I haven’t taken the GMAT/GRE yet – can I submit my application?
Yes – in fact, we encourage applicants to submit their application as soon as they can. However, we cannot make an admissions decision until we have received your official GMAT/GRE score as reported from the test administrator, so please take this into account when scheduling your test date.
How do I apply for scholarships?
All program applications submitted and complete by the scholarship deadlines are eligible to receive the scholarship application.
Scholarships require a separate application that will be sent to eligible applicants with their admission decision or shortly afterward.
Note that the top, most competitive applicants in each round may receive scholarship awards with their admissions decision without submitting a separate scholarship application.
When will I be notified about scholarships?
Scholarship decision notification dates will be included on the scholarship application, sent with your admission decision or shortly afterward.
How many scholarships are available?
The number of scholarships, as well as the dollar amounts for each award, vary from semester to semester and from year to year. Historically we award 30 percent of students some type of scholarship each semester.
How much financial assistance through scholarships can I expect to receive?
The dollar amounts for scholarships vary from semester to semester and from year to year. In 2016, scholarship amounts ranged from $2,500 – $10,000.
Are scholarships available to international students?
Yes, international applicants are eligible to apply for scholarships. All international students who submit a complete application by the international priority application deadline will receive a scholarship application.
What are the selection criteria for scholarship candidates?
In awarding scholarships, we consider your application components (GMAT/GRE score, GPA, TOEFL, work experience, etc.) as well as a scholarship essay to determine selection.
Scholarships are historically very competitive. In 2015, the average scholarship recipient had a 610-640 GMAT, 3.4 GPA and two years of work experience.
Do you require work experience?
We do not have a minimum work experience requirement for admission. However, having work experience relevant to finance can increase the competitiveness of your application.
Do you accept transfer students?
While we do accept transfer credit in some cases, the amount is limited to a maximum of six credits that have not counted toward a previously completed degree.
Students can petition to transfer credits from another institution after they’re admitted to the program. All transfer credits must be approved by the program director.
