SCHOLARSHIP DEADLINES

Program Deadline Applicant Notification
MSF International Applicant Priority Deadline Jan. 6, 2017 Approximately 3 weeks following scholarship application completion
MSF Domestic Applicant Priority Deadline Feb. 1, 2017 Approximately 3 weeks following scholarship application completion

All program applications submitted and complete by scholarship deadlines are eligible to receive information about scholarships.

Note that the top, most competitive applicants in each round may receive scholarship awards with their admissions decision without submitting a separate scholarship application.

International applicants currently living in Utah who meet one of the following criteria may be eligible for an extended international deadline:

  • Do not require an I-20 or F-1 visa
  • Would require an I-20 transfer from another institution in Utah but already have an F-1 visa
  • Would require an I-20 change of level from the University of Utah but already have an F-1 visa

International applicants requesting an extended deadline must also complete an in-person interview and meet the minimum TOEFL requirement (90).

Applicants who feel they meet these criteria and would like to request an extended deadline should email MSF-Masters@Eccles.Utah.edu for more information.

MSF Priority Deadline: For those applying to the MS Finance program, by meeting the priority deadline, candidates are assured of application consideration as well as access to the greatest number of resources and opportunities such as scholarships. For domestic applicants, the MS Finance program offers rolling admissions after the priority deadline through the date noted above, based on seat availability.

Rolling Admissions: Rolling admissions are available until the deadline stated above or all seats in the program are filled. Since rolling admissions are based upon seat availability, application acceptance may close without notice. For this reason, applicants are encouraged to apply as early in the application cycle as possible.

Scholarships: You will receive information on how to apply for scholarships only if you are admitted into the program. Scholarship applications typically require a brief statement and answer to an additional essay question. Applicants typically have seven days to return their application and scholarship notifications are made according to the schedule above.
