Strategic Student Leadership Canvas Course
The Strategic Student Leadership Canvas course is a non credit course developed for student leaders at the David Eccles School of Business. Student leader are essential in helping to shape our inclusive community of doers and the purpose of this online training is to, concurrently with individual job or position training, provide student leaders with a shared understanding of the David Eccles School of Business and the role of student leadership within the school.
This course consists of three modules that address an overview of the Eccles School, resources available to student leaders to enhance their own and others Eccles experience (including FERPA training), and the model of strategic leadership. Each module will take approximately an hour to complete.

FERPA Training
Student records at the University of Utah are governed by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Anyone with access to student information in the Eccles School, including student leaders, must complete this training. Complete an in-depth FERPA training provided by the Registrar’s Office of the University of Utah. You should receive confirmation of your certification within a week of completing the training. Email your supervisor(s) a copy of this confirmation.
University Sexual Harassment Prevention Training
Bridge is an online learning platform used across the University of Utah. Through your Bridge profile, you can access an online module on Sexual Harassment Awareness and Prevention. This training, developed by the Office of Equal Opportunity, Affirmative Action, and Title IX, reviews what constitutes sexual harassment, how it can be addressed on campus, and what resources are available.
Eccles Online Learning Assistance Canvas Course
Need some support navigating the world of online learning? We’ve got you covered. The Office for Student Engagement & Assessment (SEA) has developed a NEW Eccles Online Learning Assistance Canvas course. This tool teaches you the ins and outs of Zoom, different types of classes ( as hybrid, IVC, etc.), and gives you tips & tricks and resources to maximize your Eccles Experience both inside and outside of the classroom.
