Ridesharing applications have become prevalent in the world of transportation. Yet, consumers are far from being fully satisfied with the ridesharing services—their major concern is safety. Out of many reported ridesharing criminal incidents, sexual assaults make the top of the list, consistently at least 395 cases from 2014 to 2018, only from Uber and Lyft (“Who’s Driving You? | Ridesharing Incidents,” 2018). My mission is to improve the current ridesharing applications to become “female-friendly” and to prevent as much as possible sexual assault associated with ridesharing.
