TEK club is open to all students with an interest in information systems. Club members have the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of IS-related activities throughout the year, including exclusive networking events, career fairs, guest speakers and company visits. Additionally, students from various programs at the University join TEK club, creating a rich networking experience member-to-member.
MSIS students have the opportunity to be a part of the Lassonde New Venture Development Center at the Lassonde Entrepreneur Institute, where they can gain hands-on experience in technical product development, commercialization and new-business planning. Students exit the program with real-world experience in technology entrepreneurship, ready to meet the tech industry’s next challenge.
The Sorenson Center for Discovery and Innovation was created with the belief that all students have the potential to become investors and innovators. With a goal of “liberating the creative genius,” students take courses in innovation and “play in the Sorenson sandbox,” learning how to ideate, invent and apply design thinking to problem solving.
