Student Leaders

Danika received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Utah in 2016, majoring in International Studies and minoring in Chinese. She is currently enrolled in the PMBA program in the Eccles School of Business, and also works on campus with the International Student and Scholar Services. Danika is passionate about encouraging more women to pursue business, no matter their previous educational or career backgrounds. She joined the WIB Board to be able to better engage with gender-related social issues that face women and female-identifying students in the business school. She hopes to use this platform to create spaces where these students can feel empowered to become leaders in business without fear of discrimination or other impediments

Ale joined Women in Business as an opportunity to meet and connect with other students dedicated to female empowerment. She values the power of female friendship and support in both personal and professional settings, and wants to provide other female-identifying students with tools and opportunities to enable them to fulfill their potential in the face of adversity and disadvantage

McKenna was drawn to Women In Business because of her experience working with female entrepreneurs along with starting her own business. She is inspired by the motivated women around her and wants to encourage all women to chase their dreams and accomplish their goals. She is a first year student planning to major in marketing and minor in entrepreneurship. She hopes to empower women here at the David Eccles School of Business to make vast differences in the business world.

Madilyn joined WIB to be a part of the changing culture around women in the business school. She is excited to be an advocate for everyone that identifies as a woman at the University of Utah and in the workplace once she graduates. Madilyn is looking forward to being involved with a group of strong, intelligent, and ambitious women that are making valuable changes at David Eccles School of Business as well as in their communities.

Tori is a freshman at the David Eccles School of Business. She is currently pre-business and is planning on pursuing a Marketing degree and a minor in the French language. Her hope is that she contributes to Women in Business through advocating for an environment of inclusivity and empowerment.

After graduating from the David Eccles School of Business in Operations Management, Kelsey started her career in investment banking then moved into a leadership role at a natural gas company. In her experience of working in male dominated fields she saw the importance of having organizations which support women in the workplace. Kelsey jumped at the opportunity to serve on the WIB board and is excited to get to know and learn from the members and advocate for the WIB community.

Madeline joined Women in Business at the Eccles School to gain perspective and learn from other women in business. Each day she is inspired by all in the organization. It means everything to her to have well-spoken, confident, and strong women share their voice. WIB has encouraged her to take opportunities and challenge herself where she would have not entering into a technology and mathematics field.

Tressa is from Salt Lake City Utah and is studying Architecture with a minor in Entrepreneurship. She joined Women in Business to help make positive change in the Business School and create spaces and programming aimed at the inclusion of Women.

Cierra joined the Women in Business leadership team in 2018 to help create a stronger professional and academic community for female-identifying students here in the business school. Having changed majors, Women in Business helped Cierra connect with other female students in her classes and created a sense of community for her in the School of Business. She is excited to play a role in developing similar opportunities for other women in the school of business to meet new friends, build professional skills, and prepare for graduation through Women in Business.

Andrea was born in Zamora, Michoacan but was raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. She decided to join WIB to connect and learn from others within WIB to better support other students throughout the Eccles school in regard to issues that they may be experiencing. In addition, she joined due to an inclusive and safe environment that WIB provides for all students.
