Zimeng (Simon) Cui is a Ph.D. candidate in Accounting at David Eccles School of Business, the University of Utah.

He earned a Master of Science in Finance degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor of Management in Accounting degree from North China Electric Power University (Beijing). Prior to joining the Ph.D. program, Simon worked as an Auditing Associate at KPMG for two years.

His research interests focus on debt contracting, accounting labor economics, financial reporting, and environmental issues.
