Michael Bronson has extensive healthcare operations management experience, particularly in ambulatory and outpatient settings such as physician and physician group practices, and multispecialty outpatient facilities. Michael has overseen service delivery in a multitude of healthcare settings including clinics, outpatient surgery centers, laboratory and imaging services, and hospital inpatient services. Much of Michael’s career has been spent helping academic medical centers grow their service delivery footprints, having managed expansion efforts at both Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas and the University of Utah Health in Salt Lake City.
Michael teaches Healthcare Operations Management in the MHA Program at the David Eccles School of Business. His course helps students connect the dots between operations management and healthcare organizations’ efforts to create strategic value. In doing so, students become acquainted with the science of operations management as encapsulated in methodologies such as Six Sigma and LEAN.
Michael enjoys music and spending time in the mountains with his wife and five children. He is an “ultra” runner and has completed several 50 and 100-mile races.
