Laura joined the School of Business with an established career in college student development and civic engagement. Her intentional leadership earned her the Housing & Residential Education’s ‘Departmental Values Award for Respect’ in 2014 and ‘Advisor of the Year Award’ in 2015 while she was a Residential Education Coordinator over first-year and Honors residential communities. Laura was also a recipient of the University of Utah 2017 ‘Beacons of Excellence’ Award for her strategic support of transformative undergraduate experiences as the Bennion Center’s Alternative Breaks Coordinator from 2015 to June 2018. Her demonstrated commitment to social justice, student mentorship, and programmatic innovation has guided her practice in collaborating with others to uphold a culture of inclusion, access, and excellence at the U.
Laura holds a B.S in psychology and studio art from Baldwin-Wallace College in Ohio. She earned her M.Ed in Higher Education Administration from Kent State University while simultaneously completing a Graduate Certificate in internationalization of higher education.
