Fan Li is a Ph.D. candidate in Finance at the David Eccles School of Business, University of Utah. His research interests focus on corporate finance, political finance, labor economics, financial regulation, and investment. Fan has taught corporate finance and financial management courses at the undergraduate level. Before joining the University of Utah, Fan received an MBA from the University of California, Riverside (2020), and an M.S. in Quantitative Finance with High Distinction from the University of Glasgow (UK) (2017). He earned his B.A. in Economics from Durham University (UK) and Shandong University (China) (2016).

At the University of Utah, Fan was recognized for his teaching excellence with the University of Utah Doctoral Teaching Excellence Award at the college level in 2024, as well as the Doctoral Student Teaching Excellence Award at the department level in 2024. At the University of California, Riverside, Fan received the A. Gary Anderson Fellowship for the academic year 2019-2020 in recognition of his academic achievements and teaching contributions.
