Timing:  We bought at the all time high.
Reason:  Commodity prices have appreciated steelply this year, and we have had comparatively little exposure. The low share price allows us to take a substantial bet, with the possibility of significant short term gains. The company has a strong balance sheet and has some promising new mines.

Timing:  We sold near the six month high.
Reason:  After buying NXG at the peak of gold prices and losing a significant amount, gold prices have begun to rebound. We do not believe that gold will appreciate significantly over the forseeable future, and believe it would be better to invest in something with better growth prospects.
