Eccles Global Learning Abroad (EGLA) is the learning abroad program for the David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah. Eccles Global is committed to creating a safe, affordable learning abroad program to engage students in worldwide business education that instills the skill set students need to compete internationally. Our programs are unique in that all of our classes are taught by the same top-ranked faculty at the Eccles School. Students, staff, and faculty spend one week to one semester studying business with an international focus. Students often participate in weekend excursions and make lifelong friends.
All students at the University of Utah are welcome to participate in programs, workshops, competitions, and more at the Lassonde Entrepreneur Institute, a top-ranked and interdisciplinary division of the David Eccles School of Business. Participating is a great way to learn by doing, launch a company, join a team, and have some fun.
All students are welcome to live at Lassonde Studios and join the Lassonde 400 residential group. Residents live in the middle of it all and get additional access to tools and programs. Lassonde Studios is a five-story home for student entrepreneurs, innovators, and creators at the University of Utah. The priority application period to live here for the 2021-22 academic year is Oct. 1, 2020, to Jan. 15, 2021.
Eccles Engagements are small-group activities often led by an alum, faculty, or staff member at the Eccles School. The activities allow you to engage socially while growing your network, and maybe even picking up some skills along the way.

The David Eccles School of Business offers several minor programs to enhance your undergraduate degree.
Goff Trailblazers is a one-semester, project-based course for Spring Semester 2021. The program is open to students with any experience and skill level, and a minimum GPA of 2.8. University of Utah students from any college and major are encouraged to apply and must be junior or senior level during the semester they participate in the program. Students selected will receive a $1,000 scholarship award for the semester they participate.
Lassonde+X is an introductory academic program for all undergraduate students from all backgrounds and majors (the X) to explore and practice entrepreneurship. It is provided by the David Eccles School of Business and Lassonde Entrepreneur Institute at the University of Utah, which have an entrepreneur program ranked among the top 10 in the nation.
Commencement exercises are planned for May 6-7, 2021. Applications for May 2021 graduation are due Jan. 29, 2021.
