Welcome to Fall 2022!

We look forward to the energy, creativity, and innovation you bring to campus. There are plenty of incredible experiences to round out your Eccles Experience and ensure you make memories that will last a lifetime. Fall Semester starts on Monday, August 22, 2022.

No. In-person classes will not be recorded, although some professors may choose to do so. Check your syllabus.

The Eccles School offers several online courses during typical semesters and those are listed on the class schedule for Fall Semester.

It is a class that will be taught partially in-person and partially online.

The Office for Student Engagement & Assessment (SEA) offers an Eccles Online Learning Assistance Canvas course. This tool teaches you the ins and outs of Zoom, different types of classes (as hybrid, IVC, etc.), and gives you tips & tricks and resources to maximize your Eccles Experience both inside and outside of the classroom. When you register for a class, you can see if it is online, hybrid, or in person in class attributes.

Once you have registered, in your class schedule, you will be able to see the type of class you have signed up for. The options are: In-Person, Hybrid, IVC, or Online. The type of class is listed separately from the class location.

The Eccles School doesn’t have a specific requirement for a computer. However, if you anticipate using excel in quantitative classes such as Finance, QAMO, Accounting, we recommend a PC.

During Fall Semester, you will have the option to meet with your academic advisor either virtually or in-person. More information at

Both! You will have the option of meeting with your Career Coach either virtually and in-person. Business Career Services will be open Monday – Friday, from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., with on-campus hours from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Visit for more information.

Yes! The Business Tutoring Center is here to support you in your business core classes and many upper-division courses. Students have the option for both in-person and virtual tutoring sessions. More info at

Yes. The SFEBB is open Monday-Saturday from 7 a.m. – 11 p.m. MT. You can also schedule a study room via 1) Text or call 801-581-7676, 2) Email, or 3) visit the front desk.

Health & Safety

Yes. All University of Utah students must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Students who have not received their vaccinations will have a registration hold placed on their record. For more information, click here.

If anyone is experiencing food insecurity the Feed U Pantry has food available to anyone with a UCard.

The Feed U Pantries are located in the A. Ray Olpin Union and Stensaas Lounge of EHSEB are open and stocked with fresh and shelf-stable food. In the Union, beautiful produce from the campus gardens is available, and in EHSEB, as part of our partnership with the U Hospital Nutrition Care Services, there are sandwiches, salads, pudding, and fruit cups; which are delivered daily!
