Student Spotlight: Jennifer Aguilar Lopez

Meet Jennifer Aguilar Lopez, an honors college student with a double major in Quantitative Analysis of Markets & Organizations (QAMO) and Urban Ecology, who is set to graduate in Spring 2027.

Jennifer is deeply engaged in the Eccles community and beyond. She currently serves as President of Engagement for the Association of Latino Professionals for America (ALPFA), a Trailblazer with the Goff Institute, and has leadership roles in the Alternative Breaks Program at the Bennion Center and Women Who Succeed program.

Outside of class, Jennifer enjoys spending time with family and friends, fitness, traveling, and attending music festivals!

When asked about her advice to fellow students, Jennifer emphasizes the importance of involvement:

“Get involved as much as you can! Join clubs related to your career and personal interests, and take the time to connect with your professors. This is where opportunities come from, which not only help you professionally, but also personally.”

Her favorite college experience so far has been leading 35 students at the ALPFA 2025 National Convention in Las Vegas, Nevada. Jennifer coordinated everything from logistics to interview prep, creating a transformative experience for her peers. She describes ALPFA as more than an organization; it’s a support system that has shaped her as a leader and created a community of family and friends.

Jennifer also highlights her favorite Eccles experience: traveling with fellow Opportunity Scholar students to the Bay Area, where they visited tech giants like Adobe, Google, Meta, and Salesforce. She valued connecting with alumni and learning about the role of AI and tech in shaping the future.

Jennifer’s leadership, curiosity, and drive make her a standout member of the Eccles community, and we can’t wait to see the impact she’ll continue to create.
