Association of Latino Professionals for America (ALPFA)
The Association of Latino Professionals for America (ALPFA) is a national nonprofit organization established in 1972, dedicated to advancing individuals of Latinx heritage in every sector of the global economy. Today, ALPFA includes more than 160 student chapters across the country and a growing network of professionals, mentors, and corporate partners. The University of Utah chapter, housed within the David Eccles School of Business, is proud to be part of this nationally recognized network.
ALPFA at the University of Utah serves as a powerful launching point for students seeking to grow both professionally and personally. While rooted in the Latinx experience, our chapter actively welcomes and supports students of all backgrounds. Our mission is to prepare the next generation of leaders by providing resources, networking opportunities, and real-world experiences. Our organization supports students in developing career readiness through a variety of programs and events held throughout the academic year. ALPFA members and student leaders often go on to secure competitive internships, leadership roles, and opportunities in Fortune 500 companies.
More than a professional organization, our student chapter is a thriving, student-led community built on shared values, mutual respect, and a commitment to growth. We create spaces where students feel encouraged to participate, take initiative, and support one another. Whether you’re looking to strengthen your leadership skills, connect with peers, or simply enjoy good food and conversation, ALPFA has something to offer. Membership is open to all University of Utah students, regardless of major, college, or background.
