Our executives in residence have more than 50 years of combined experience in the finance industry and help our students gain an unparalleled exposure to networking opportunities and industry insights.

James Claus

James Claus joined the MSF program in Fall 2015. Bringing more than 20 years of investment management experience to the program, he develops students to be leaders in financial analysis and management, focusing on combining valuation and financial analysis with technology.

Hal Tolley
Hal Tolley

Harold (“Hal”) Tolley joined the MS Finance program as an executive-in-residence in winter 2018, bringing more than 30 years of technology and data analysis experience in the financial sector to the program.  Hal works with graduate students, faculty, and staff helping address the financial technology issues of the future.

Kent Cannon
Kent Cannon

Kent H. Cannon joined the MSF program after 30 years in the insurance and financial services industry. Kent enhances the student’s classroom experience with project-based consulting experiences in the professional community.

David Anderson
David Anderson

David Anderson works with students to better connect them to opportunities in the finance industry. He comes to the Eccles School after spending 24 years in investment banking, during which he completed transactions in more than 25 countries.
