Mr. Gochnour has been with Cottonwood Partners since 2007 where he manages Cottonwood’s real estate development portfolio. Development projects include the Cornerstone I and II office buildings in Cottonwood Heights, the Newpark 2 and 3 office buildings in Park City and the Texas Regional Medical Center in Sunnyvale, Texas. He currently directs the development of The Forge at Geneva, a 45 acre mixed-use project in Vineyard, Utah.

Prior to joining Cottonwood Partners, Mr. Gochnour worked for the Boyer Company where he directed the public/private mixed-use redevelopment of the downtown mall site in Ogden, Utah. He also worked  as the director of real estate development for Gastronomy Properties, where he led the acquisition, development, renovation and management of historic buildings and other properties.

He also served in the public sector for the State of Utah as director of the Division of Business and Economic Development during the administrations of Governors Michael Leavitt and Olene Walker. During his tenure he participated in creating legislation providing corporate incentives for job creation. He also led an international trade mission initiative following Utah’s highly successful 2002 Winter Olympic games, showcasing Utah as a great place for business.

Mr. Gochnour received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of Utah, and his Master of Business Administration degree with an emphasis in Real Estate from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. He is a past president and board member of NAIOP Utah.
